11th Anniversary of KAT-TUN

This week I was travelling outside the city, and I was disconnected from the social media. When I checked my FB, I noticed that many KAT-TUN fan clubs were talking about their anniversary, and also that Nakamaru-kun had posted something related in his J-web, when precisely the same week he had met Kame-kun and Ueda.kun in the same day. For this reason, I wanted to talk something about my favorite J-Pop band in this special occasion.

It is known that the group had been formed since 2001, when they were participating in a show with Koichi Domoto, and they become very popular, participating in several concerts and performances. But on March 22 of 2006, after the group was an official band, they released they first single called "Real Face", starting a succesful career a one of the greatest boy bands of the 2000's. 

In spite of the departure of three members from the original group, the three remaining held a great concert for their 10th anniversary, and after that they started a recharging period, developing vaious activities different from singing as a group. This is a curious thing because I knew about them just in that time, when they were working in another projects...

All started with the dorama "Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge", as I said in the Kame's post in his birthday. I was interested in the theme song of the dorama, called "Love Yourself". This was the forst song that I listened about J-Pop, and sounds really interesting and the lyrics matched with the theme of the dorama, and also I liked a lot the choreography. At first, I thought that the four actors were the ones who sing the song, but after I knew that only Kamenashi was the member of the group who sung it, and two of the other were part of the same company (Yuya Tegoshi and Hiroki Uchi) but in the group NEWS, which I listened some songs too. But I prefered the style of KAT-TUN, and also I my favorite singer was Kame, he is very charismatic and charming, and I loved his voice. 

Although the recharging period just have started, I started to listen all the music from them, and also watch their performances, loving their dance style, how they coordinate their voices and their special talents (the rap of Koki and the beat-box of Nakamaru). They seemed a very special group, with very nice song that I have not listened before, and because of them I started to like the Japanese music, specially anime songs, J-Pop and J-Rock. 

Listening their songs, with the time I got some favourites:the first one, Love Yourself, because of the dorama, Don't U Ever Stop and Rescue, for the dancing, and Rhodesia and Lips for the rocking mood. My favorite album is Chain, it has the most of my most-liked songs, specially Run For You, Hodoukyou and the solos Finale and Zutto. The last is the second most favorite, and the reason because I love Kame's voice <3. 

Another great thing from KAT-TUN was their show "CARTOON  KAT-TUN". Besides music I discovered that the members did some different activities, as presenters of their own show. Although I could watch only come episodes which are subtitled in english or spanish, the funny ans silly things they did every episode were so epic! Just when I was passing by a sad time in my life, I forgotten all when I saw the show episodes, I couldn't stop laughing, I had a lo of fun with them, no matter that the show were from 9 years ago! Also I am very grateful with the show because I knew more about teir personalities, ans specially because I discovered new Japanese artists :)

Also I liked to watch doramas where they have acted. I have watched only 3,  Yamato Nadeshiko, Tatta Hitotsu no Koi and Gokusen 2. I enjoyed a lot watching them, the stories are different in everyone, and have a lot of positive things. In them I just have watched the acting abilities of Kame, Jin and Koki, and I thought that they have done very well. They are very talented, and they know how to play a character in different situations. I hope to watch more doramas from them... If the anime series give me time for doing that XD

Because of I knew about the group with the song Love Yourself (a song from 2010), I thought that still it was composed by six members, but reading more I discovered that the three members have had their solo careers, and that they have had great succes, they are very talented, and they started in the music world when they were very young, also they achieved a lot of experience as a group, and I hope that they will have lots of achievements in the future. I just want to say some thing about each one:

* Jin: The first member who left the band. Even when he spend some time abroad and participated with the band less time han the other members, I think that he is a great man, but with a strong sense of individuality. I have listened some songs from their solo career, and I liked so much, specially that he sang some songs in english, trying to reach new listeners. 

* Koki: The second member leaving the band. I miss from he the rap parts in the songs, but now with his band INKT he is doing it very well! Koki has a great voice, with different nuances, singing soft or heavy songs. 

* Junno: I will miss his voice in the group because it has a great contrats with the soft voices of Nakamaru and Ueda, but as a solist he started well with some upbeat song to dance. Also he is doing well as a model, he has a nice smile and style :) (But I have to asmit the I didn't like his blonde hair wnhen he was in KAT-TUN hehe).

About the remaining members, they were developing basically the same activities, as presenters of TV shows and actors. I'm glad specially for Nakamaru and Ueda who haven't participated in doramas, and they were having some chances this year. Some things about them:

*Kame: I love his new look (hehe), and I like that he is a presentes of a Sports show. He  was a very good baseball player in his early years, and maybe with his activities in the group he didn't have enough time to continue doing sports, I'm glad that he could develop his passion in another aspects of entertainment. Also he was the member most active in acting, with some doramas and movies, a very busy man! 

*Ueda: He had been doing some activities related to sports too, having practiced boxing, he is very athletic! Also acting in a dorama kept him busy some time, I hope he had enjoyed the experience :D

*Nakamaru: In his show, he does very well as a presenter, he have learnt a lot of new thing with the crazy activities he does in every episode. Also he was finishing the filming of a dorama, a new role for him who was the member who haven't acted so much. I like that he update his Jweb frequently, and we could knew about his new activities.

In general, I just want to write about them because I discovered a new world with their music. Although my music taste change constantly, I will always remember them as the first thing about Japanese music that i have ever heard, and that they bring me some happy moments and feelings in special situations, giving me inspiration to do new things. I wish all the best for them, enjoying every activity that they do, lots of new achievements for the independent singers and the members of KAT-TUN, looking forward for their comeback. :D This is jut a desire from a Hyphen from the other side of the planet...
